Hip hop has made its way to the Broadway stage with the musical “Hamilton”. Although there were many concerns of a hip hop musical selling tickets, the turnout exceeded all expectations. Through the usage of rap and R&B, the musical portray the story of Alexander Hamilton and some of the other founding fathers of our nation such as, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Through R&B ballads and hip hop lyrics, the stage play will appeal to a more urban and younger audience. If the stage play maintain a consistence level of success, we can expect a major change in Broadway musicals.

It would seem like common sense for someone not to flash firearms in a residential area while shooting a music video, but that was not the case for a group of aspiring rappers in Detroit. Police arrested four teenagers after residents in the neighborhood witnessed the group carrying an assault rifle and three handguns with extended magazines.
